2016 year in review–my best one yet!

I’m almost afraid to say it, but I think 2016 was the year I’ve been waiting for all along as a writer. My impressive stack of rejection letters stretching back to 2005 have finally been overshadowed by my dreams that came true this year. I’ve wanted to get in the door with the Harlequin family for a decade, and even though I squeezed onto the front porch with one novel published by Carina in 2012, I feel that I’ve finally made it through the front door with three Harlequin Heartwarming novels published this year. I’m in the foyer, people! I can see the family room and part of the kitchen from here, and I’m hoping I’ll be invited to stay a long time!

In addition to my Heartwarming titles, I was also in the boxed set A Heartwarming Holiday, my individual novella Set for New Year’s released on its own, I released a fun summer novel Summer at the Bluegill Bait Shop, and started a new series with my best friend Christmas at the Grand Hotel.

Best of all, Harlequin offered me another three-book contract for novels releasing in 2017 and 2018. Thank you, Harlequin! It’s been a great year, and I’ve loved meeting readers at book signings and via social media. I hope the next year is a happy one for everyone!
